Stanley Crawford

Stanley Crawford is the author of five novels and three works of nonfiction. The Overlook Press, New York, published his most recent novel, Petroleum Man, in 2005. Log of the S.S. The Mrs. Unguentine was re-issued by Dalkey Archive Press in 2008. He is the recipient of two NEA Writing Fellowships and a three-year Lila Wallace-Reader's Digest Foundation Writer's Award. He has held residencies at the MacDowell Colony; the Rockefellar Study Center in Bellagio, Italy; the Lannan Foundation in Marfa, Texas; and the Centrum Foundation in Port Townsend, Washington. He has lived in northern New Mexico with his wife Rosemary for the past forty years, dividing his time between farming and writing. He is currently teaching a graduate fiction-writing workshop at UMass/Amherst.
