Lizzie Davis is a writer, translator from Spanish and Italian to English, and editor at Coffee House Press. She acquires fiction, nonfiction, and translations for Coffee House and is passionate about championing writing that takes risks and pushes boundaries thematically or formally. Some writers she works with include Vi Khi Nao, Alia Trabucco Zerán, Roque Larraquy, Rodrigo Márquez Tizano, and Poupeh Missaghi. Davis has translated Pilar Fraile Amador, Daniela Tarazona, Daniel Saldaña París, Paulina Flores, and others, as well as My First Bikini by Elena Medel, a co-translation of Tell Me How It Ends: An Essay in Forty Questions with Valeria Luiselli, andOrnamental by Juan Cárdenas. She has received fellowships from the Bread Loaf Translators’ Conference and Omi International Arts Center for her translations of Pilar Fraile Amador.
