Kate Colby

Kate Colby is author of seven books of poetry and a forthcoming book of essays. She has received awards and fellowships from the Poetry Society of America, Harvard’s Woodberry Poetry Room and Rhode Island State Council for the Arts, and her work has appeared in journals and anthologies, including A Public SpaceBoston ReviewNew American WritingVerse and the Dia: Readings in Contemporary Poetry Anthology. She grew up in Massachusetts and was a founding board member of the Gloucester Writers Center, where she hosts an occasional reading series. She currently lives and works as a copywriter and editor in Providence.
