Joyce Carol Oates is the author of more than 70 books, including novels, short story collections, poetry, plays, literary criticism, and essays. Some of her most recent works include I Am No One You Know, a collection of stories; The Falls; Rape: A Love Story; Beasts; Big Mouth & Ugly Girl and Faithless: Tales of Transgression. She has been the recipient of a PEN/Malamud Award for Achievement in the Short Story, the F. Scott Fitzgerald Award for Outstanding Achievement in American Literature, the Bram Stoker Lifetime Achievement Award in Horror Fiction, a National Book Award, and the 2003 Commonwealth Award for Literature, among others. Member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, she is Roger S. Berlind ’52 Professor in the Humanities at Princeton University.
