Joon Oluchi Lee is Associate Professor of Gender Studies and Creative Writing at Rhode Island School of Design and the author of two works of fiction, 94 (Publication Studio, 2015) and Lace Sick Bag (Publication Studio, 2013), as well as various essays on queer theory, feminism, and fiction writing, including: “Like a Statuette” (The Body in Language, 2019), “Choreography for the Bospherus Hug” (Hysteria, 2015), “The Blotting Papers” (Women & Performance, 2011), “Gay Rage” (Social Text Periscope, 2010), and “The Joy of the Castrated Boy” (Social Text, 2005). From 2008 to 2013, Joon blogged about life as a femme feminist gay male at lipstickeater.blogspot.com. Joon lives in Brooklyn with his partner Roddy and their rescue dog Nella.
