Fred Moten lives and works in Durham, North Carolina. He is author of two forthcoming books: The Feel Trio (Letter Machine Editions) and Theory of Blackness (Duke University Press), as well as of Arkansas (Pressed Wafer, 2000), Poems (with Jim Behrle) (Pressed Wafer, 2002), In the Break: The Aesthetics of the Black Radical Tradition (University of Minnesota, 2003), I ran from it but was still in it (Cusp, 2007), Hughson’s Tavern (Leon Works, 2008), and B Jenkins (Duke University Press, 2010). He is Helen L. Bevington Professor of Modern Poetry at Duke University.
