Be With, Forrest Gander's collection of elegies, received the 2019 Pulitzer Prize in Poetry. Forrest Gander, Adele Kellenberg Seaver Professor Emeritus, investigates the difficulties of expressing grief and yearning in the face of sudden losses. As noted by his publisher, New Directions, Gander has been called one of our most formally restless poets, and these new poems express a characteristically tensile energy, and as one critic noted, "the most eclectic diction since Hart Crane." Congratulations to Forrest.
